The U.S. Federal Reserve raised its benchmark rate by 25 basis points to a range of 3.75%-4.00% on Thursday (local time), with the dot plot indicating potential for one more hike this year. The decision was unanimous. While the Fed revised growth forecasts upward and lowered unemployment projections, it signaled that core inflation may take longer to reach target levels.

Huobi Senior Analyst Andy stated in a PANews analysis that the Fed's move to clearly adopt a hawkish stance aims at restoring confidence in its inflation response. He added that this decision has reduced uncertainty around policy pathways for the crypto market.
