Fed Releases Independent Review of SVB Collapse, Cites Regulatory Failures

The Federal Reserve (Fed) has released an independent review of the 2023 Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) collapse. The report identifies SVB's inherent vulnerabilities alongside regulatory failures by Fed supervisors who did not promptly and decisively address emerging risks. The review also found no evidence that social media accelerated or triggered the bank run.
