Foreign Investors Sell U.S. Treasuries to Nine-Month Low Amid Global Reductions

Foreign investor holdings of U.S. Treasuries have fallen to a nine-month low, according to data released by the U.S. Department of the Treasury on Thursday (local time). Japan and China reduced their holdings, with France and Canada also seeing significant declines. South Korea sold U.S. Treasuries as well. In contrast, the UK increased its holdings, remaining the second-largest foreign holder after Japan.
