Former Parafi Partner Criticizes Antropic CEO and SBF for 'Effective Altruism' Approach

Santiago R. Santos, former Parafi Capital partner and founder of acquisition firm Inversion, criticized FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei alongside their adherence to 'Effective Altruism' (EA), a philosophy advocating for directing limited resources toward areas that benefit society most. Santos argued on X that those in crypto understand how destructive EA can be: 'They believe only they can save the world, and they don't care about the damage caused as long as they achieve their goals.' He added that SBF actively lobbied against decentralization and open finance, noting similar behavior emerging around Amodei and his circle.
