Former Sonic Labs CEO Michael Kong Claims Non-Voluntary Contract Termination

Former Sonic Labs CEO Michael Kong has stated that his departure from the company was not voluntary, asserting he retains legal claim rights. Ublockchain reported on October 16 that Kong made this statement in response to Sonic Labs' announcement of his contract termination.

Kong disclosed that after approximately eight years with the company, both parties had negotiated and signed a retirement and waiver agreement, but emphasized that this departure was not his choice. Sonic Labs previously announced it would immediately terminate its collaboration with Kong and prohibited him from representing the company or the Sonic ecosystem in any public statements.

The company stated it would handle the matter through appropriate professional and legal procedures without disclosing specific dispute resolution steps. Ublockchain also reported that Andre Cronje provided separate support for Kong's claims via a published statement.
