Futardio's $43.9M Commitment vs. Actual $50K Raised in Project

A Solana (SOL)-based unlicensed token launchpad called Futardio has reportedly accumulated approximately $43.9 million (about ₩59 billion) in commitments, though a significant discrepancy was found between the committed amount and the actual funds raised for its flagship project. The platform's official website displayed cumulative commitments of $43.9 million, 92 launches, and around 2,340 participants at the time of verification, with earlier figures showing $44 million in commitments and about 2,360 participants.

Participants deposit USDC into smart contracts on Futardio; if a project meets its target, funds move to the project's DAO treasury, while unmet targets trigger refunds. Founders can initiate campaigns by paying 0.5 SOL, setting goals between $10,000 and $2 million USD for periods ranging from one hour to seven days.

The discrepancy is most evident in Futardio Cult, a flagship project with 725 participants who committed $11.4 million (about ₩153 billion), though the target was only $50,000 (about ₩6.7 million). The platform's official page shows the actual raised amount as $50,000, with an overachievement rate of 22,806%. This figure indicates committed funds exceeded the target but does not confirm full fund acquisition.

Futardio's structure focuses on connecting successful projects to MetaDAO's market-based governance and on-chain financial management. Funds do not immediately transfer to founders upon meeting targets; instead, they remain in a treasury managed by MetaDAO, with expenditures and token supply changes requiring separate procedures.

MetaDAO examples also show differences between committed and actual funds: Blockworks reported Umbra secured $155 million in commitments but only raised $3 million. Crypto Briefing noted that as of mid-March, 54 projects launched on Futardio with only two meeting their targets. The platform emphasizes that commitments reflect interest, not guaranteed funding, and participants do not own equity or directly receive project funds.
