Generac Secures Long-Term Power Generator Supply Contract with Amazon for $2.4 Billion Initial Volume

Generac ($GNRC) has signed a long-term supply agreement with Amazon ($AMZN) for backup generators used in data centers. In its SEC Form 8-K filed on June 16, Generac disclosed it issued subscription rights to purchase up to 1,693,745 shares of its common stock to an Amazon subsidiary. Of these, 307,954 shares were immediately vested, with the remainder vesting incrementally if cumulative payments for generators reach a maximum of $8 billion (approximately KRW 10.96 trillion). Generac also stated in the filing that the initial supply volume is expected to amount to $240 million (approximately KRW 328.8 billion) between 2027 and 2028.
Marsbit reported that Generac's stock surged 33.1% ahead of the U.S. market open on June 17, citing Gate.io price data.
