Grayscale's 'Digital Assets Next Gen' Model Includes XRP at 26.11%, Excludes Bitcoin

Grayscale's 'Digital Assets Next Gen' portfolio model includes Ripple (XRP) at 26.11%, while Ethereum (ETH) holds the largest share at 42.34%. Bitcoin (BTC) was excluded from this model, which Grayscale launched on August 14 for financial advisors. The model features a diversified approach with up to 10 assets weighted by market capitalization, capping individual holdings at 40%.

As of August 31, the portfolio composition consisted of Ethereum (42.34%), XRP (26.11%), and Solana (SOL) (21.09%). Combined, these three assets represent 89.54% of the portfolio. Other holdings include Hyperliquid (HYPE), Chainlink (LINK), Avalanche (AVAX), and SUI.

Grayscale noted that while individual asset weight limits are set at 40%, Ethereum's August 31 allocation exceeded this at 42.34% due to market fluctuations. The company emphasized that the model's inclusion of XRP does not necessarily indicate new capital inflows or price appreciation, as actual fund flows and market movements will be determined after implementation.

Laurie Katz, Grayscale's Global Distribution Head, stated financial advisors seek ways to incorporate digital assets into client portfolios without direct allocation management. The portfolio model focuses on standardized asset allocation rather than specific token investment recommendations.
