Gwangju Bank Completes Solana Blockchain-Based Digital Voucher Pilot

Gwangju Bank announced on the 14th that it completed a proof-of-concept (PoC) trial for digital meal vouchers based on the Solana (SOL) blockchain, in collaboration with the Solana Foundation and Node Infrastructure, a blockchain infrastructure company. The initiative, which followed an agreement signed with the Solana Foundation in June, implemented the entire process—from issuing digital wallets to voucher issuance, usage, inter-employee transfers, and settlement—within a Solana-based blockchain environment for its headquarters staff. Gwangju Bank plans to review new services including digital asset payments based on the results of this trial.
