HYPE·BTC Collateralized Loans Reach $269M on First Day

Hyperliquid has launched a manual lending feature enabling users to borrow USDC or USDT by pledging its native token HYPE or Bitcoin (BTC) as collateral. On the first day of operation, $269 million (approximately 37.3 billion KRW) in assets were loaned through the associated infrastructure. Hyperliquid announced the activation of the manual lending feature on its official X account on the 18th. The platform explained that both the manual lending and existing portfolio margin features operate on the same Hypercore infrastructure, with the $269 million figure representing the total loaned assets across both functionalities.
