Hyperliquid Whale Positions Total $758.6M with Short Ratio at 51.92%

Hyperliquid whales' total position size has been reported at $758.6 million (approximately KRW 10.2 trillion). Short positions exceeded long positions, and some large Ethereum (ETH) short positions incurred unrealized losses. According to Coinglass data as of 11:02 a.m. Korea Standard Time on May 15, Hyperliquid whales' long positions accounted for 48.08% of the total at $364.7 million (approximately KRW 4.9 trillion), while short positions stood at $393.9 million (approximately KRW 5.3 trillion), representing 51.92%. The long-short position ratio was 0.93. The unrealized profit/loss varied by direction: long positions recorded a $32.3 million unrealized gain, while short positions reported a $34.8 million unrealized loss. Although short positions were larger in size, the unrealized profit for longs was relatively better. Notably, an Ethereum short position from address 0x5b5d..60 stood out, having sold ETH at $2,296.08 with full leverage and a 5x margin, resulting in an unrealized loss of $23.46 million (approximately KRW 31.6 billion). Previous data had shown Hyperliquid whale positions totaling $661.7 million with a short ratio of 51.72%. This latest report also shows shorts exceeding longs, though both position sizes and unrealized profits/losses can fluctuate with real-time market prices.
