Industry Wanted Digital Asset ETF, But Government Approves Leverage ETF Instead

Before a closed-door meeting at the Blue House regarding capital markets, the financial investment industry submitted proposals for digital asset ETFs and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. However, the government later approved single-stock leverage ETFs, which were not included in the industry's pre-submitted proposal, according to a report from Rep. Choi Eun-seok's office citing materials provided by the Financial Investment Association on January 17.
