iShares Bitcoin Trust Buys $1.08 Billion in BTC Over 20 Days

BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF, iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), has bought $1.08 billion worth of Bitcoin (BTC) over the past 20 days, equivalent to approximately 1.45 trillion won. During the same period, Grayscale's Bitcoin investment product GBTC saw a net sell-off of $254.7 million, or about 342.6 billion won. PANews reported on May 15 that Arkham monitoring showed IBIT recorded seven days of net inflows during this period. While funds were not continuously flowing into IBIT over the entire 20-day span, the cumulative purchase amount surpassed GBTC's net sell-off. The contrasting flows between IBIT and GBTC demonstrate how capital movements can differ across products in the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF market. Both products are linked to Bitcoin prices, but inflows and outflows reflect changes in each product's net assets.
