Jensen Huang: NVIDIA Chip Sales to Double Next Year Amid AI Demand

NVIDIA Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang has predicted that the company's semiconductor sales volume will double next year, driven by expanding artificial intelligence (AI) investments.
According to CNBC on Thursday (local time), Huang made the remarks ahead of the Scotland AI Summit hosted by King Charles III, speaking with reporters as he prepared for the event.
Huang stated that due to AI's significant contributions across various industries and economies, NVIDIA is seeing investment movements in AI across nearly all countries it operates in.
This forecast is based on semiconductor sales volume rather than revenue. As product prices vary by type, a doubling of units sold does not necessarily mean the same growth rate for revenue. NVIDIA currently does not separately disclose its total semiconductor sales volume.
NVIDIA's product lineup includes data center GPUs, central processing units (CPUs), semiconductors for switches and optical networking, laptop chips, and Jetson chips for robotics and automotive applications.
Last month on the 26th, NVIDIA reported its second-quarter results, forecasting that fiscal year 2028 revenue will increase by approximately 70% from the previous year to about $67.3 billion. Huang's recent comments have heightened expectations that AI infrastructure investment across countries and industries will continue to expand.
