Jensen Huang to Attend Trump and Xi Jinping State Dinner Next Week

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is expected to attend a state dinner hosted by US President Donald Trump for Chinese President Xi Jinping next week, according to Bloomberg.

The event will be part of Huang's Washington visit schedule. While the official guest list has not been released, Nvidia declined to comment on the matter.

Huang and Trump have recently aligned on AI policy views, with Huang expressing opposition to slowing AI development speed during a call this week. Both emphasize that there is no need to delay AI or data center development, with Huang arguing that voluntary corporate responses are more important than new laws for AI safety.

The Trump administration has eased restrictions on some Nvidia semiconductors previously limited for export to China due to national security concerns. However, current sales to China remain restricted to older-generation processors, with relatively limited supply volumes reported.

The dinner will take place as US-China tensions persist over AI, trade, and Middle East issues. Huang's attendance is expected to draw attention given Nvidia's Chinese business and semiconductor export challenges amid the US-China tech competition.
