Korbit Service Name to Change to DigitalX Starting October 16

Korbit's service name will change to DigitalX from October 16, with website addresses and mobile app names and icons updated to match the new branding. DigitalX announced that starting October 16, the previous Korbit service name will be replaced with DigitalX. Block Media reported on the service name and domain/app updates. This change follows the company's August shift of its operating legal entity name from 'Korbit Co., Ltd.' to 'DigitalX Co., Ltd.' The move completes a brand overhaul by aligning the publicly visible service name with the corporate name. Korbit previously assured users that no separate account or asset transfer would be required after the legal name change, and this update also does not involve moving accounts to another company. User assets and transaction history will remain unchanged, with no changes to deposit/withdrawal methods or trading procedures. Existing apps will update to show the new name and icon, while users accessing the old website address will be redirected to the new one without needing a new app installation or account creation. The company plans to sequentially guide users through the transition via official channels. It clarified that legal entity names differ from service names: the former is used for contracts and agreements, while the latter refers to the brand presented to users. DigitalX also warned against phishing scams mimicking the service name change, urging users not to install apps or enter login details via unverified messages or links, but instead check official channels. DigitalX CEO O Se-jin stated that this rebranding is "not just a simple service name change but the beginning of a new leap together with Future Asset Group," adding that they will sequentially introduce products and services delivering real value to users.
