The won-dollar exchange rate opened at 1,377.0 won. According to the Bank of Korea Economic Statistics System (ECOS), the opening rate for the won-dollar exchange rate on September 17 was 1,377.0 won, up 8.4 won from the previous day's close. On the previous trading day, September 16, it closed at 1,368.6 won as of 3:30 p.m. During the day, the rate fluctuated between 1,363.7 and 1,377.0 won. This year's closing exchange rates have ranged from 1,336.1 to 1,555.8 won. The September 16 close of 1,368.6 won was near the low point. Seoul Foreign Exchange Trading Center announced a buying rate of 1,368.3 won on September 17. On the same day, the won-yuan exchange rate was 204.05 won and the yen-to-won rate was 882 won per 100 yen.
