The won-dollar exchange rate closed at 1,368.6 won, up 9.2 won from the previous trading day, surpassing the 1,350 won level. On September 16 in Seoul's foreign exchange market, the won-dollar rate stood at 1,368.6 won per dollar as of 3:30 PM local time, a 9.2 won increase from the previous close. The day began with a rate of 1,364.0 won, 4.6 won higher than the prior day's close. This marks five consecutive days of rising exchange rates. Current rates are near this year's low of 1,336.1 won, having risen approximately 15% from that point. Compared to June 23 at 1,539.1 won, the rate has fallen by 170.5 won. Year-over-year, the won shows a strengthening trend.
