KRX Launches After-Market Trading Until 8 PM for Domestic Stocks, Excluding ETFs and ETNs

The Korea Exchange (KRX) has introduced an after-market trading session allowing domestic stock transactions until 8 PM, effective from the 14th. ETFs and ETNs are excluded from this service. The KRX stated that the after-market will operate from 4 PM to 8 PM using the same order entry system as regular trading hours. The exchange explained that ETFs and ETNs were omitted due to market volatility considerations.

The KRX also announced that the introduction of a pre-market session, which was initially planned alongside the after-market, has been postponed until the end of 2027 to account for industry IT system development needs and operational staffing burdens.
