Kyrgyzstan Central Bank Partners with Cetic for Digital Asset Security Enhancement

Kyrgyzstan's Central Bank and Cetic have formalized a long-term strategic partnership following the signing of a memorandum of understanding on 15th, aiming to expand cooperation in digital asset regulation and security. The collaboration marks Cetic's first major engagement with a central bank environment requiring high standards in security, compliance, and operations. This partnership is expected to serve as a reference model for future similar collaborations between Cetic and other central banks or strictly regulated institutions.

Sanjar Abdygaziev, a member of the Kyrgyzstan Central Bank Board, stated that today's memorandum establishes a foundation for expanding dialogue and cooperation between both parties. He emphasized the importance of sharing experience and expertise in blockchain and digital asset security, cybersecurity, anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CFT), and digital asset transaction analysis and monitoring.

Cetic co-founder and CEO Longhui Gu noted that securing digital asset infrastructure requires continuous efforts throughout the design phase to ongoing operations. He expressed hope that Cetic's accumulated expertise and practical experience would be utilized in this long-term partnership to support safe development of Kyrgyzstan's digital asset ecosystem.

Under the memorandum, both parties will share knowledge and explore collaboration in blockchain and digital asset security, security assessments, formal verification, cybersecurity, and operational resilience. Additionally, Cetic plans to provide technical and strategic support based on its experience in digital asset security and risk management. The scope of cooperation extends to digital asset regulation and regulatory advisory, including AML/CFT measures, digital asset custody, security standards, and licensing requirements.

Cetic also plans to review the implementation of Cetic Supervision and Cetic Compliance solutions to strengthen continuous risk monitoring and supervisory capabilities. Educational initiatives and knowledge sharing on technology and regulatory issues will be pursued in collaboration with Kyrgyzstan's Central Bank. Beyond this partnership, Cetic has previously engaged in digital asset regulation discussions across multiple markets, including providing technical advisory to U.S. regulators and submitting comments on Singapore's Monetary Authority's regulatory guidance document.
