Liquid Network Recovers 3,400 BTC After Security Incident

The Liquid Network has recovered 3,400 BTC from a security incident that caused the loss of around 4,000 BTC. In its update on the 18th, the Liquid Network announced that block creation and some on-chain transactions have resumed, but peg-out repayments converting LBTC to Bitcoin (BTC) will remain suspended until security recovery is complete. Approximately 600 BTC remains unrecovered.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued a conditional no-action position regarding manual trading software providers. On the 17th, the CFTC stated in No-Action Letter 26-25 that enforcement actions would not be pursued against businesses meeting certain conditions for failing to register as introducing brokers.
