Lumis Urges Bipartisan Support for Clarity Bill Amid Threat of Crypto Firms Relocating Overseas

U.S. Senator Lumis, a Republican member of the Senate, urged Democratic senators to support the final version of the Clarity Act, according to Bitcoin.com News on April 14. Lumis warned that virtual asset companies could move overseas if the bill fails to pass. In her op-ed, she emphasized that the Clarity Act represents one of the largest bipartisan efforts in its push through the Senate. She stated that without passage, businesses and jobs could shift to London, Singapore, or Abu Dhabi.

Bitcoin.com News reported that the Senate Republicans released a final version incorporating 126 amendments reflecting Democratic demands. The Senate is scheduled to hold a procedural vote on April 15 (local time) to determine whether to begin deliberations on the bill.
