Midnight to Enable Mainnet Smart Contract Deployment Soon

Midnight has预告ed that it will soon allow the deployment of smart contracts on its mainnet. The feature will target non-public smart contracts and custom private token issuance. Sebastien Guillemot, Midnight Foundation CTO, announced on X on the 19th that 'Smart contract deployment on the Midnight mainnet will soon be activated.' The official Midnight account also shared the post. Midnight is a partner chain linked to Cardano, supporting smart contract development with both public and private states. However, the activation date and how it will be opened to general developers have yet to be announced.
