Moscow Exchange Launches Unsettled Futures for BTC, ETH and Three Other Cryptocurrencies

Moscow Exchange (MOEX) will launch perpetual futures contracts based on five cryptocurrencies—Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Tron (TRX)—on the 22nd. In an official announcement on the 16th, MOEX stated that the new contracts are available only to qualified investors, with prices quoted in dollars and settlement conducted in Russian rubles. The contracts use cash settlement without physical delivery of the underlying cryptocurrency.

MOEX noted that following its first crypto-linked futures launch last summer, over 72,000 qualified investors have traded on the platform, with cumulative trading volume exceeding 60 billion rubles.
