MultiverseX Halts Network Operations Amid Security Breach Attempt

MultiverseX (EGLD) has confirmed an attempted attack exploiting network vulnerabilities and temporarily halted network operations. On October 20, MultiverseX announced on X (formerly Twitter) that 'a hacker was attempting to exploit network vulnerabilities,' leading to invalid state changes. To prevent further impact, the network's progression was suspended.

The previous day, MultiverseX had notified users of potential issues detected in its mainnet and initiated an investigation. The platform urged users not to take any action and to await official announcements regarding network restoration, advising against starting new transactions or resending existing ones, as well as avoiding token deposits and withdrawals through exchanges and bridges.

As of 10 a.m. on October 21, MultiverseX was trading at 6,840 won on Bithumb, down 16.89% from the previous day's close.
