Olas Deploys AI Agent Infrastructure on Robinhood Chain Amid DAO Approval Pending

Olas has deployed its AI agent infrastructure on the Robinhood Chain. However, final approval from the Olas DAO is required before official service operations can commence. Olas announced in a September 11 blog post that it had deployed core contracts on the Robinhood Chain.

If approved, developers will be able to register agent services on the Robinhood Chain and implement agent-to-agent service hiring and payment through the Olas Marketplace. According to Olas' official metrics, total on-chain transactions reached 20,561,755 as of September 14 at 3:01 a.m., with agent-to-agent transactions amounting to 14,649,468 — a subset of the overall transaction volume.

This deployment expands the scope of Olas' Mech Marketplace to seven chains, including Ethereum (ETH), Gnosis, Arbitrum (ARB), Optimism (OP), Base, Polygon (POL), and Robinhood Chain. The Mech Marketplace enables one AI agent to request services from another and settle payments on-chain.

Pearl is an application provided by Olas that allows users to run Olas agents without operating their own servers. Olas explained that agents can integrate directly with decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending markets, and protocols related to real-world assets. This contract deployment establishes the technical foundation for implementing such services on the Robinhood Chain.

The Robinhood Chain, launched as a public mainnet on July 1, is an Ethereum Layer-2 based on Arbitrum. Its official documentation states it was designed to support tokenized stocks and ETFs, lending/borrowing, DEXs, and perpetual futures financial applications. Robinhood Markets ($HOOD) reported having approximately 28 million customers across 38 countries, which could potentially serve as a distribution channel for Olas, though this does not mean Robinhood users will immediately become Olas agent users.

The Robinhood Chain's financial infrastructure is centered around on-chain asset trading and lending capabilities. The chain saw total value locked (TVL) grow from approximately $94 million at the end of July to $791 million by early September, with daily DEX volume reaching $1.6 billion on September 1, according to Olas citing DefiLlama and Crypto.news data.

The Robinhood Chain's lending infrastructure is built on Morpho. While Robinhood offers an expected annual yield of around 7% APY for USDG deposit products, this does not reflect the performance or profitability of Olas agents. Potential risks include smart contract errors, misconfigured permissions, market volatility, and regulatory responsibility issues if AI agents automatically execute lending, derivatives, and tokenized asset trades. Olas' risk management approach per product has yet to be confirmed through this deployment.

Olas DAO approval must still be secured before any Olas-based products can officially operate on the Robinhood Chain. The next key milestone will be the outcome of the DAO vote regarding approval status, which will determine whether these services move forward.
