Oman Seafront Oil Tanker El Gaya Attacked, Two Crew Missing

Oman Maritime Security Center reported that a fire broke out on the Panama-flagged oil tanker El Gaya, with 23 crew members evacuated and search operations ongoing for two others as of 15th. AP News stated that El Gaya was attacked while stationary near Muscat in Oman's northeastern waters, approximately 24 kilometers from shore, before being towed to an Omani port. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed on X that the vessel was targeted by Iranian drones over the weekend while anchored off Oman's coast.
