Ondo Finance Founder's Death Triggers Management Dispute Over $11 Million Compensation Plan

Ondo Finance (Ondo Finance) founder Nathan Allman died without a will, sparking a legal battle between his family and management over inheritance and company control. Kathleen Allman, Nathan's mother, claimed that Ian de Bode sought to secure approximately $11 million (about 15.1 billion KRW) in compensation for himself. According to CoinDesk, Kathleen contested de Bode's CEO position and company governance after inheriting her son's estate. The Block reported that a Delaware court filing cited Kathleen's allegations that de Bode attempted to appoint himself as sole director without board approval. De Bode denied the claims in an email to The Block, stating the company retains support from major stakeholders, key investors, and the Ondo Foundation.
