Optimism Approves Key Upgrade to Connect 'Superchain' Networks

Optimism, an Ethereum Layer 2 network, is accelerating efforts to build a 'Superchain' ecosystem that connects multiple blockchains as one seamless environment. Before implementing cross-chain interoperability, the network is advancing a key upgrade to revise its transaction verification process. On April 17 (local time), Optimism governance approved the 'Upgrade 20' proposal, which will introduce a new Fault Proof system for four OP Stack-based testnets: OP Sepolia and OP Incentivized Sepolia.
