Optimism Deploys Mandatory Upgrade op-batcher v1.17.0 for Network Operators

Optimism has deployed a mandatory upgrade to op-batcher v1.17.0 for network operators. The new version includes L1 GlamsTardam transition compatibility, security updates, and a feature to set AltDA input size limits. Optimism stated in its official GitHub release notes that v1.17.0 is designated as a required release for op-batcher operators.
Batch transactions will now apply gas limits corresponding to the data gas rules before and after the GlamsTardam transition. The Keccak AltDA input size limit can be adjusted via the da_max_input_size setting in rollup configuration, with the default remaining at 130,672 bytes if omitted. Starting logs will remove the l2_network field, retaining only l2_chain_id. Dashboards and notification systems relying on these logs must transition to using l2_chain_id before the upgrade.
