Payward to Launch HIP-3 Perpetual Futures for U.S. Clients on Hyperliquid

Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has reportedly been advancing plans to launch a U.S.-focused on-chain perpetual futures service based on Hyperliquid's HIP-3 protocol. PANews reported on the 16th that Payward intends to utilize Hyperliquid's licensed market structure for this offering. The market will operate through Hyperliquid's public chain's on-chain order book, where trades are executed and recorded. Payward subsidiary Bitnomial will act as the HIP-3 distributor, creating, owning, and managing the market while handling contract settlements and payments. CFTC-registered futures broker NinjaTrader Clearing will manage client accounts. U.S. clients must open futures accounts through Payward's registered brokers. Only accounts whitelisted by both NinjaTrader and Bitnomial will be permitted to trade, with the launch pending regulatory approval.
