Poland Olympic Committee Chair Removed Amid Jondacrypto Bribery Allegations

The Poland Olympic Committee has dismissed Radosław Pieczewicz as chair and appointed Marian Kmita as acting head. The move follows Pieczewicz's arrest related to bribery and influence-peddling allegations linked to the Jondacrypto case. Bitcon.com reported that the committee's board voted unanimously on April 14 to remove Pieczewicz and appoint Kmita as interim leader, with his term running until April 2025—the remainder of Pieczewicz's original mandate.

Pieczewicz reportedly signed a sponsorship deal between Jondacrypto and the Poland Olympic Committee and faces allegations of accepting an expensive watch from the exchange's former CEO. The Jondacrypto scandal has resulted in estimated client losses of at least $94 million (approximately 12.78 billion KRW).
