Pophylus Partners with Abu Dhabi's Further Asset Management to Expand Blockchain Institutional Business in Middle East

Pophylus, a blockchain research-based solution company, has secured strategic investment from Further Asset Management (Further Asset Management), an Abu Dhabi-based asset management firm, to expand its focus on the Middle Eastern institutional market.

The company announced on August 18 that it had signed a strategic partnership with Further Asset Management to accelerate institutional adoption of blockchain technology. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on August 16 at the 'Abu Dhabi Investment Forum Seoul 2026' held at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, hosted by the Abu Dhabi government and attended by over 88 public and private institutions including ADDED and ADIO.

Further Asset Management, founded in 2022 with support from Abu Dhabi's sovereign fund ADQ, raised a $200 million (approximately 27.68 billion KRW) fund to launch its operations. The firm manages venture investment arm Further Ventures, digital asset liquidity strategies, and indirect funds, focusing on digital assets, fintech, and supply chain sectors.

Both companies plan to collaborate on building blockchain infrastructure that institutions can practically implement while meeting regulatory requirements and avoiding dependency on a single blockchain network. They also disclosed that they had conducted six months of practical collaboration prior to the MOU, during which Pophylus expanded its cooperation points with the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) ecosystem.

Pophylus CEO Nam-woong Kim stated, 'Institutional adoption of blockchain is both a market issue and an engineering challenge,' adding that Further Asset Management is a partner with connections to regulatory authorities and institutional networks. Faisal Al Hammadi, Managing Partner at Further Asset Management, noted, 'Institutions do not adopt blockchain simply because it is new; they adopt it when infrastructure meets existing standards.'
