President Yoon Prioritizes Real Estate Stability and Livelihood Improvement

President Yoon has identified stabilizing the real estate market and improving citizens' daily lives as core priorities for future governance. Acknowledging that economic indicators are not translating into improved living standards, he pledged to accelerate policy implementation.

Speaking at a press conference on 18th, President Yoon admitted that 'while economic indicators have improved, why hasn't my life changed? Or even gotten worse?' was a question the government had not adequately addressed. He stated the administration would focus more on improving livelihoods alongside recovery and growth.

Regarding recent shifts in public sentiment, he accepted responsibility, admitting that after local elections, 'the sudden disappointment and worries of citizens caught us off guard.' He acknowledged rushing to solve many issues without properly understanding people's concerns. President Yoon committed to respecting citizens' opinions more fully when exercising state power and revising personnel systems.

On real estate matters, he emphasized the need for stability: 'We will definitely stabilize it.' The government plans to quickly implement housing supply policies, regulations, and tax measures while communicating effectively with stakeholders to minimize market disruptions during policy implementation.

To address regional development imbalances, President Yoon proposed cultivating Seoul as an economic hub and Sejong as an administrative center, aiming to create a 'dual capital era' similar to New York-Washington. He also reiterated his proposal for constitutional reform to better reflect current social and economic conditions, arguing that the 1987 constitution no longer adequately represents today's environment. However, he explicitly stated he has no intention of seeking re-election after constitutional reforms.

President Yoon outlined three pillars for future governance: livelihood improvement, reform, and unity. He declared, 'We will tighten our shoelaces,' promising to prove his commitment through results rather than words, following the people's wishes in pursuing a path of livelihood, reform, and unity without wavering.
