Reform UK Proposes Digital Asset Union Amid Stricter Foreign Political Donations Rules

Reform UK, a pro-crypto political party in the United Kingdom, is moving forward with plans to establish a labor union for digital asset industry workers as a response to proposed tighter regulations on foreign political donations.

According to the Daily Mail, Aaron Banks, a senior Reform UK official, stated that if the Labour government proceeds with additional restrictions on foreign political donations, the party intends to form the Allied Computer & Crypto Workers Union (ACCAW).

ACCAW aims to include workers from information technology (IT), artificial intelligence (AI), and digital asset sectors. Reform UK is also considering fundraising through the union for political purposes.

The initiative comes amid recent government efforts to limit foreign donors' contributions to political campaigns. Notably, cryptocurrency billionaire Ben Delo and Christopher Habbon reportedly donated £36 million each, totaling £72 million, to Reform UK.
