Rep. Lummis Urges Swift Passage of Clarity Act as 'Now or Never' Moment

U.S. Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis has called for swift passage of the Digital Asset Market Structure Bill, known as the Clarity Act, emphasizing it as a critical moment for the industry. The legislation aims to clarify regulatory roles for digital assets while strengthening investor protections and combating illicit finance. Lummis stated that "now is not the time" to delay, noting that President Donald Trump has already adopted ethics rules restricting digital asset issuance or sponsorship by the president, vice president, federal lawmakers, and federal judges. She also revealed she placed her digital assets in a blind trust.
