Revolut Hacker Begins Publishing Passport Copies, Selfies, Bitcoin Transaction Records

A report has emerged that in the Revolut data breach incident, passport copies, identity verification selfies, and Bitcoin transaction records of customers are beginning to be published. Hackers reportedly threatened to release additional materials daily if Revolut does not pay the ransom. CoinDesk reported that hackers claiming to have obtained Revolut customer information have begun releasing related files, including passports, selfies, and Bitcoin transaction histories. Revolut stated that some customer information was disclosed without authorization due to a fraudulent government agency request, and after becoming aware of the incident, blocked the relevant address and notified the authorities. Revolut also confirmed that its systems and customer funds were unaffected.
