Robinhood Crypto Chief Says SEC's Stock Token Trading Approval Shows 'Smart Regulation'

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved an 'interim conditional exemption' (Innovation Exemption) on Thursday, allowing limited trading of tokenized U.S. stocks in on-chain environments. Robinhood's crypto chief Johann Kerbrat said, 'Smart regulation can accelerate innovation. We look forward to what we will create with this SEC Innovation Exemption.' He added that the move signals readiness for tokenized securities to enter the U.S. market and could help develop a liquid market for tokenized securities.
