Robinhood Former Engineers Indicted for Trading on Digital Asset Listing Information

Two former Robinhood engineers have been indicted by U.S. prosecutors for allegedly trading perpetual futures on a decentralized exchange using non-public information about the company's upcoming digital asset listings.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) New York Southern District Attorney's office announced on Thursday (local time) that Hefu Chai, 36, and Huaisong Xiang, 30—formerly employed at Robinhood—were charged with commodities fraud and wire fraud. Xiang is also known as Jerry Xiang.
