SCAN 2026 Final Features IBarelyKnowHer Team of Indian Cybersecurity Experts

SCAN 2026, the world's first digital asset tracking competition, will hold its final round on September 28 at Monaco Space in Seoul's Seocho District.

Organized to enhance cybersecurity and investigative capabilities for digital assets, SCAN 2026 is hosted by digital asset information firm DAsset with blockchain data platform Chainalysis as a CTF (Capture The Flag) partner.

The final round features the top 20 teams from an initial field of 416 teams (754 participants). Among them is Indian cybersecurity team IBarelyKnowHer, composed of four university students specializing in different security domains.

Team members include Uttkarsh Singh (Computer Science, 3rd year), Divy Jakhotiya (Computer Science, 3rd year), Adrija Singh (Electronics and Communication Engineering, 3rd year), and Yuthran S (Computer Science, 2nd year).

Uttkarsh, the team captain, has competed in CTF competitions for two years and placed second at last year's CyberQ International Final in Abu Dhabi. Divy specializes in OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) and threat intelligence, while Adrija focuses on web security with experience from HackTheon Sejong. Yuthran, the youngest member, has participated in CTF events for about a year and has placed 27th in CODEGATE Junior.

The team emphasized their collaborative approach as key to success, noting that they have prepared AI agent skill sets tailored for on-chain investigations ahead of time. They also highlighted adapting to new challenges during competitions as their main strength.

For the final round, the team is focusing on refining their in-person coordination and task division strategies, with plans to invest any prize money back into their university's cybersecurity community through research support, tool development, and practical training programs for students.
