SecondPay to Release Asset Recovery Tool for Cardano Wallet Exploit Victims

SecondPay has announced it will unveil an asset recovery tool based on zero-knowledge proofs for victims of a June Cardano wallet exploit. The self-service portal allows users to verify ownership of compromised wallets before applying for asset recovery. SecondPay stated in its August 28 official announcement that the tool is designed to prove wallet ownership using zero-knowledge proofs. The company expects the tool to be available in September following ZK security audits and smart contract reviews.

DoubleBlock reported that during the June 21-23 exploit, approximately 16 million ADA was drained from 374 addresses. SecondPay has halted operations and is conducting a separate process for recovering affected assets.
