Securitize's On-Chain Assets Reach $5 Billion; Q2 Revenue Down 5%

Securitize ($SECZ) reported that its on-chain managed assets reached approximately $5 billion (about KRW 6.85 trillion) as of July 2026. While the scale of tokenized assets grew, Q2 revenue decreased and net losses continued. As of June 30, Securitize recorded a quarterly end-of-period tokenized asset management scale of $430 million (about KRW 5.9 trillion), representing a 9% increase from the same period last year. The average tokenized asset management scale for Q2 was $430 million, up 16% year-over-year, with trading volume reaching $5.3 billion (about KRW 7.26 trillion), a 147% increase. However, revenue fell to $14.4 million (about KRW 19.7 billion), down 5%, while net loss reached $21.7 million (about KRW 29.7 billion).

Securitize aims to transition to adjusted EBITDA profitability in the short term as it expands tokenized assets and trading infrastructure. The company is collaborating with firms like BlackRock, Apollo, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR, and VanEck on tokenized fund and securities initiatives. Hamilton Lane recently lowered its minimum investment for a private credit fund from $2 million to $10,000 to improve accessibility.

Carlos Domingo, Securitize co-founder and CEO, noted that while traditional financial institutions are adopting tokenization in product development, actual users remain primarily within the crypto industry. He emphasized the need for infrastructure enabling blockchain wallet and stablecoin access within existing financial applications. This approach connects tokenized assets to traditional securities markets rather than isolating them as separate crypto products.

Securitize was selected by NYSE as a design partner for its Digital Transfer Agent program, aiming to establish standards for tokenized security ownership records, corporate actions, and on-chain settlements. Its tokenized stocks are structured to connect with issuers' official shareholder registries and existing transfer agent infrastructure. A survey by HarrisX and the Tokenization Market Alliance found that while 31% of respondents recognized tokenization, explaining benefits like faster settlement, 24/7 access, and lower fees increased investment interest to 50%. Additionally, 45% of respondents expressed trust in traditional financial institutions compared to 28% for crypto-tech firms.

Securitize began trading SECZ on the NYSE on July 2, listing its common stock on-chain simultaneously. The stock closed down 27.48% at $5.70 on August 13 following Q2 results, though it remains unclear if this decline directly reflected market concerns about profitability.
