Singapore Crypto and Cash Robbery Perpetrators Sentenced to 12 Years 11 Months in Prison

Two perpetrators of a armed home robbery in Singapore who stole cryptocurrency and cash have been sentenced to 12 years and 11 months in prison along with 24 strokes of the cane. Channel News Asia (CNA) reported that on April 14, the Singapore court handed down the sentence to Wang Qishan and Gao Fentong, both Malaysian nationals, who were also fined S$4,000. The duo broke into a home in Bukit Timah, Singapore, in April 2024, stealing cash, luxury watches, and cryptocurrency. Total damages amounted to approximately S$4.9 million SGD, with the robbers tying up victims and transferring cryptocurrency from their phones to wallets under their control.
