Solana Holds $100 as Tokenized Stocks Trade Volume Surpasses Traditional Markets by 12.6x

Solana (SOL) has maintained its position above the $100 mark, while tokenized stocks from VIDAx have recorded on-chain trading volumes 12.6 times greater than traditional stock exchange volumes over the last seven days, according to AMBCrypto's analysis updated at 6:30 a.m. KST on October 18.

VIDAx represents tokenized shares of U.S.-listed company Vida. The data indicates blockchain-based trading volume for VIDAx has reached approximately 1258% of traditional stock exchange volumes over the past week, meaning transactions on Solana's network have exceeded those on conventional exchanges by about 12.6 times.

On-chain trading volume refers to transaction size processed directly on the blockchain. The figures demonstrate that VIDAx trading activity has significantly outpaced traditional markets within Solana's network. This trend is not limited to VIDAx alone, as overall tokenized stock activity across Solana-based platforms has expanded.

Solana's official materials describe xStocks as a structure enabling U.S. stocks and ETFs to be implemented as blockchain tokens for on-chain trading, with each token backed 1:1 by actual shares. This allows investors to access tokenized stocks through different channels than traditional exchanges.

On October 16 (U.S. time), Solana spot ETFs recorded $8.37 million in net inflows, according to SoSoValue data. The simultaneous growth in both ETF inflows and tokenized stock trading indicates two distinct pathways for capital and trading activity entering the Solana ecosystem.

However, analysts caution that these indicators alone do not determine SOL's price direction. At the time of analysis, SOL was trading around $102 after rebounding from a low in the high 90s. The relative strength index (RSI) showed neutral readings without strong overbought signals, while the MACD remained below its signal line, indicating no clear trend reversal yet.
