Solana Network Sees $250 Million USDC Minted

USDC treasury issued an additional $25 million in USDC on the Solana (SOL) network around 9:03 PM KST on April 14. The issuance amounts to $25 million USD (approximately 335.8 billion KRW). On-chain tracking service Whale Alert reported that the transaction was detected on Solana, as cited by Chinese media PANews. USDC is a stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 value with the US dollar.

The issuance was confirmed as an on-chain transaction processed through the Solana chain, though details regarding which wallet received the funds or whether it was deployed to exchanges or decentralized finance (DeFi) services remain undisclosed. This follows a previous report by the same outlet noting a similar $25 million USDC minting event on Solana, indicating repeated large-scale USDC issuances on the Solana chain.
