Stonk (STONK) Drops 16% After New All-Time Low, Trading Volume Slows

Stonk (STONK) dropped 16% over the past 24 hours following an all-time high of approximately $0.35. Its weekly gain has decreased to 12%, while trading volume and platform fees have also declined. AMBCrypto reported on September 15 that Stonk's daily trading volume fell from around $140 million (approximately KRW 188.6 billion) to $50 million (approximately KRW 67.4 billion).

High point figures vary by data provider. CoinMarketCap recorded the peak at $0.345 on September 11, while DefiLlama listed the all-time high as $0.30. The price has formed a downward trend channel since the peak. AMBCrypto's TradingView analysis highlighted a 100-day exponential moving average (EMA) of $0.15 as a key short-term reference point.

Trading volume decline was observed across both spot and futures markets. Futures trading volume decreased from $544,000 (approximately KRW 73.3 million) to $366,000 (approximately KRW 49.3 million), while spot volume dropped from $78,000 (approximately KRW 15 million) to $35,000 (approximately KRW 4.71 million). The sell ratio in futures markets was 50.79%, and in spot markets it reached 74.18%.

StonkFun's decentralized exchange (DEX) activity has also slowed. DEX trading volume over four days decreased from $38.56 million (approximately KRW 51.9 billion) to $21.62 million (approximately KRW 29.1 billion), a 44% reduction. Weekly DEX volume fell from $186 million (approximately KRW 250.5 billion) to $164 million (approximately KRW 220.9 billion). Platform fees also declined from a weekly high of $1.85 million (approximately KRW 2.49 billion) to $588,000 (approximately KRW 79.2 million).

StonkFun is a Solana-based token issuance platform that supports tokenized assets linked to various financial instruments. CoinMarketCap notes that the platform allows trading of tokenized stock-related assets as pairs. DefiLlama recently reported StonkFun's fees and revenue at $5.88 million (approximately KRW 792 million) over seven days. Part of the platform's revenue is used for STONK buybacks and burns, though no evidence was provided that this mechanism limits price declines or ensures recovery.

Trading volume and fees are indicators of platform activity but do not necessarily move in line with token prices. The $0.15 EMA mentioned by AMBCrypto serves as a technical reference point rather than a definitive indicator for price recovery or decline. Previous coverage noted Stonk's price movements near its all-time high, while current data shows both price and trading activity have slowed after the peak.
