Strive Adds 469 Bitcoin, Surpasses 25,000 BTC Holdings

American asset management firm Strive added 469 Bitcoin (BTC) last week, increasing its total holdings to 25,000 BTC.
According to a Block report citing an 8-K filing, Strive invested $36.6 million in the purchase, averaging approximately $78,000 per BTC. The current market value of the company's Bitcoin holdings is around $1.95 billion.
Strive CEO Matt Cole stated that all funds for this acquisition were raised through the sale of perpetual preferred shares SATA, which recently exceeded a nominal issuance amount of $1 billion.
However, Strive's Bitcoin buying pace slowed compared to the previous week. The firm purchased 1,375 BTC for about $19 million in the prior week.
Strive currently holds the fifth-largest Bitcoin reserve among publicly traded companies, behind Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and Mara.
Cole mentioned the possibility of Strive becoming the second-largest publicly traded company by Bitcoin holdings by year-end but clarified this is not a baseline expectation. To surpass Twenty One's current 43,514 BTC holdings, Strive would need to acquire an additional 18,515 BTC, requiring an average weekly purchase of about 1,234 BTC over the remaining 15 weeks of the year.
Meanwhile, the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, Strategy, maintained its 845,050 BTC holdings for two consecutive weeks without additional purchases. Instead, it used dollar cash to repurchase approximately $139.3 million in STRC preferred shares last week.
