Symbiosis Halts BTC Bridge Routing After Hacking Incident

Cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis announced it has suspended BTC routing after a hacking attack exploited a Bitcoin bridge vulnerability. The attack occurred at 4:28 AM UTC on September 11, with approximately 15 BTC recovered and stored in a team-managed multisig wallet. EVM chains, Tron, TON, and Octopools remain unaffected. Symbiosis has offered a 20% whitehat bounty to the attacker and is investigating final losses while preparing compensation for affected liquidity providers (LPs).
