Tether Provides $1.5 Billion to US Gold Trading Firm Gold.com

Tether has become a key lender to Gold.com, a U.S. gold trading firm, providing roughly $1.5 billion (approximately KRW 2.55 trillion). Bloomberg reported that based on Gold.com's annual report as of June 30, Tether's funds accounted for the majority of the $1.7 billion (approximately KRW 23.29 billion) in outstanding precious metal leases. Gold.com is set to pay Tether $145 million (approximately KRW 1.9865 trillion) in principal and advance payments, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Tether acquired a stake in Gold.com earlier this year.
