Trump Accepts Enhanced Ethics Rules for Digital Asset Business Ahead of Senate Vote

Donald Trump, the US president, is reported to have accepted a substantial part of enhanced ethics regulations aimed at resolving conflicts of interest related to his digital asset (virtual asset) business. The Republican-led Senate has introduced an amended version of the Clarity Act reflecting these changes, seeking to secure Democratic votes.

The amendment includes provisions for public officials to divest digital asset interests, authority for state attorneys general to enforce regulations, protection for software developers, compensation for stablecoins, and regulation of the digital commodities market, following a year-long negotiation process.
